Duties
- Managing the Department of Preventing and Combating Communicable Diseases
Department of Preventing and Combating Communicable Diseases is responsible for preventing and controlling communicable diseases under the control of the country and epidemics of communicable diseases through tuberculosis control programs, neonatal tumor removal, meningitis care, malaria removal, influenza care, whooping cough and diphtheria control, adult tetanus care, measles, rubella and congenital syndrome removal, polio eradication, botulism, pediculosis and scabies care, controlling hospital infections, care of adverse event following immunization(AEFI), controlling dysentery, cholera, typhoid, and recurrent fever, safety injection in immunization programs, expanded program on immunization (EPI), HIV/AIDS prevention and control, controlling common diseases of humans and animals (other diseases), controlling blood-borne viral hepatitis, rabies, brucellosis, leishmaniasis (cutaneous leishmaniasis), Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF), cold chain, the outbreak of diseases caused by water and food, etc.
