Health Specialized Task Force in Incidents and Passive Defense of the Province
 

With the formation of a management center for accidents and medical emergencies in 2006 and in accordance with the law on crisis management in the province and the 14 types of Task Forces, the Secretariat of Health Services Task Force in Incidents was transferred to this Center. The head of the management center for accidents and medical emergencies of the province is the secretary of the task force and the head of the secretariat is one of the entrusted experts in this section.

Disaster Management in the section of Environmental Health of Deputy of Health was defined in the structure of the University of Medical Sciences and in accordance with the structure of the Ministry by 2006 and pursued its activities in this secretariat. The section of passive defense was integrated with the secretariat, and the secretariat of the specialized health task force in incidents and passive defense of the province was formed with the announcement of the Ministry in 2015. The university chancellor is the head of this unit.

Since then, various activities have been carried out in the four phases of prevention, preparedness, response and recovery in the Secretariat. Following HSI programs in the field of safety of hospitals and SARA in the section of safety of health centers can be mentioned for the prevention phase.

The establishment of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) of the University, and the implementation of preparedness programs for health and hospital centers in disasters and threats, as well as the establishment of the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for the health system of the province are the achievements of the secretariat in the preparedness and response phase.

The Secretariat of the Health Task Force in Incidents and Passive Defenses of Qazvin province was ranked the third by relying on effective activities through ministerial assessments in 2014. In addition, it was ranked the top among 56 medical universities of the country in 2015 and 2016 in two sections of Crisis Management and Passive Defense based on the latest ministerial evaluation and the announced indicators in the field of Crisis Management and Passive Defense by improving the scientific and operational capacities of the university units.
